Poly Flex Products
(PFP) will design and manufacture solutions for manufacturing and processing applications. Many of the custom trays and part nesting pallets produced by PFP will interface with automation equipment during manufacturing and assembly operations. PFP also produces many kitting trays for assembly operations.
Pallets and part nests:
The red nesting pallet pictured, was used to hold a steel part in position as it moved through several automated machining operations. Our urethane material protected the steel part as it moved to the next work cell. The pallet positioned the part properly, so automation equipment could pick up and place the steel in the next machining operation.
Custom and kitting trays:
Trays are often designed to interface with automation equipment. The tray pictured, is designed to handle fly wheels during different stages of finishing. The tray has a center detail designed to interface with robotics equipment. This tray is also a shipping container that carries the fly wheels from the casting supplier to the machining and assembly operation. The light colored pads in the tray are made from a wear resistant material. The wear pads protect the machined flywheels while eliminating the possibility of the tray surfaces shaving. The pads eliminate the possibility of contamination or debris associated with part handling and assembly. Click the picture for a larger view.
Coiled Metals Processing:
PFP produces ID protectors and rest pads used to protect coiled metals during processing. The ID protectors eliminate damage to the edges of the coils during handling and processing. The coil rest pad (pictured to left) protects the coil surface while it is staged or warehoused. The coil pads are designed with a trough end to allow for the retention of oils and fluids used in processing the coils. By trapping the oils and fluids in the trough, the pads help eliminate slippery floors and ergonomic safety issues.
